The Philadelphia 76ers will look to snap their 19-game losing streak when they host the Memphis Grizzles on Saturday. This is the first of two scheduled meetings this season.
The Grizzles had their four-game winning streak snapped on Friday with a road loss to Toronto. Still, in their last five games, they’re playing lights out defensively, holding teams to just 90.4 points on 42.5 percent shooting. That defensive effort is a lot of the reason why they have a one game lead on Phoenix for the final playoff spot in the West. Offensively, they’ve scored 90 or more points in eight of their last 10 games. They are 30-33-2 ATS overall and 16-13-2 ATS on the road.

What’s left for there to say about the 76ers? They are absolutely brutal. Just taking a look at their last five games, they’re averaging 97.2 points on 41.8 percent shooting and are allowing 113.6 points on 52.1 percent shooting. They’ve allowed 18 of their last 19 opponents to score more than 100 points. They’ve been outscored by an average of more than 18 points during their near record setting losing streak. ATS, the 76ers are 24-41 overall and 9-25 on their home court.
The Grizzlies are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a S.U. loss and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a losing home record. The 76ers are 16-35 ATS in their last 51 games overall and 5-22 ATS in their last 27 home games. The Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Philadelphia and 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings period.
I hate laying such massive chalk on the road, but the 76ers leave me no choice. You could have Bill Gates money by now just by simply fading this god awful team.
