The Charlotte Bobcats look for their fourth straight win tonight as they square off against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Head to head, the Bobcats are 3-7 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Milwaukee while the home team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The Bucks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Eastern Conference and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, but just 6-13 ATS in their last 19 games playing on 0 days rest. The Bobcats on the other hand are 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games.
Even though the Eastern Conference has been a huge disappointment this season, one team that has impressed has been the Charlotte Bobcats, who currently sit in seventh spot in the standings and 5.5 games a head of the eighth placed New York Knicks. Winners of three straight and five of six overall, the Bobcats have really come on in the second half of the season, led by big man Al Jefferson who is averaging 21.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game this season.
Given how well Charlotte has been playing lately and the fact that they have already defeated the Milwaukee Bucks three straight times this season, you would assume they can get the job done here again tonight. While it's never easy to sweep a team in the regular season, the Bobcats did dismantle the Bucks in their lone meeting in Milwaukee, cruising to a 96-72 victory in late November. Charlotte hasn't been the best team at covering the spread on the road in recent times, but that's only because they played the likes of San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Miami and Memphis. In their last away game in Washington, they took down the Wizards 98-85, thanks to a big fourth quarter.
Give credit where credit it due because Milwaukee has been one of the very best against the spread teams since the All-Star break and are coming off four straight covers. They did however play in New York last night and fell 115-94.
The Bobcats are hot at the moment and they look like the good in this one....
