The Miami Heat head to Boston on Wednesday to face off against the Celtics.
The Boston Celtics have definitely had a season to forget this year, as the Celtics are 22-46 on the year and are currently in the 12th spot in the East. Boston has relied on their defense for the little bit of success they have had this season, but unless Boston does something in the offseason to bolster this unit offensively, the Celtics are likely to continue to struggle. The Celtics have dropped five straight heading into this meeting with Miami, with their latest loss coming on Monday against the Mavs in Dallas.

The Miami Heat have already secured their playoff position this season, but if this season is like years past, the Heat are going to rest up and just go through the motions the final part of the regular season. Miami is coming off a solid win against the Cavs in Cleveland on Tuesday night, defeating the Cavs 100-96. The Heat have won three out of their last five, and back to back games heading into Boston on Wednesday night.
The Miami Heat are just 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games, and the Heat are 1-5-1 against the spread in their last six games on Wednesday nights. Miami is however a positive 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 games on the road against teams with a losing record at home.
Boston is 8-1 against the spread in their last nine games against the East, and Boston is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games when playing on one day of rest.
I have to take Boston here. Miami is coming off an always emotional game in Cleveland (at least after LeBron left) and how the Heat have to travel to Boston and face a solid defensive team in the Celtics. I don’t have faith enough to play the money line on Boston here, but getting more than six with Boston at home looks solid in this situation.
