The Orlando Magic are having a miserable year and are clearly among the bottom teams in the NBA. The Magic are 4-32 on the road this season and are in fifth place in the Southeast and have lost their last eight games in a row. In their last game Orlando lost to the Suns by 16 points and Tobias Harris scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Magic. Aaron Afflalo scored 20 points, Victor Oladipo scored 14 points and had nine rebounds, and Andrew Nicholson had nine points. Orlando is averaging 96.9 points and they are shooting 44.3 percent and 34.9 percent from beyond the three-point arc while defensively they are allowing 102.4 points and their opponents shoot 45.6 percent. The Magic are in 13th place in the East and 12 games out of the final playoff spot.
Los Angeles is 1-4 against the spread in their last five home games, 0-4 against the spread in their last four games, and 2-5 against the spread in their last seven home games against a team with a losing road record. Orlando is 5-19-2 against the spread in their last 26 road games, 1-4 against the spread in their last five games, and 5-19-2 against the spread against the Pacific. The favorite has covered the point spread in five of the last six meetings of these two.
The Lakers are just a mild favorite here and as bad as these two teams are I am still willing to lay the points with LA.
