The Brooklyn Nets will be looking to keep their run going as they take on the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
The Nets have won 11 of their last 13 games and will be going for a fifth straight win tonight after their 107-104 overtime win at Dallas last night. Joe Johnson scored a team-high 22 points and was clutch in overtime while Paul Pierce added 15 points, including consecutive key baskets late in the fourth quarter, but the x-factor for the Nets was Marcus Thornton who added 20 points in just 24 minutes off the bench for his best performance with his new team. With the win, Brooklyn improved to 37-31 overall which leaves them just one game behind the fourth-placed Chicago.

Over in the West, the Pelicans aren't playing with playoff implications, but you wouldn't know it as they have won six of their last nine games and are coming off a 105-95 win over the defending champs. Anthony Davis continued to emerge as one of the best big men in the league, pouring in 30 points on 13 of 22 shooting which included breakaway dunks, putback dunks and jumpers from everywhere. Sure, the Heat were playing without Dwyane Wade and they've been in a bit of a slump, but that doesn't take anything away from how dominant Davis looked.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 18-5 ATS in their last 23 games against a team with a losing record and 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall, while the Pelicans are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games against a team with a losing road record and 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a winning overall record.
Head to head, the Nets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings and the Over is 13-3 in the last 16.
After such a big win, the Nets look primed to have a bit of a letdown performance tonight so I'm actually going with the underdogs in this one.
