The Line: Charlotte Bobcats -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Brooklyn Nets invade the Time Warner Cable Arena to battle the Charlotte Bobcats tonight.
The Nets have won 11 of their last 14 games but will be looking to bounce back after having their four-game win streak snapped by the Pelicans on Monday. The Nets started strong and held a 58-42 lead heading into halftime, but having already played an overtime game the night before, the Nets just faded down the stretch and eventually lost by 109-104 in overtime. Paul Pierce led the scoring with 24 points while Deron Williams added 23 points, but the Nets shot just 36.7 percent from the field and had no answer for Tyreke Evans who poured in 33 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Despite the loss, Brooklyn is still 37-32 on the season which leaves them 1 1/2 games clear of the sixth-placed Washington.

Just below Washington at seventh place in the East is Charlotte who have lost three of their last four and are coming off a disappointing 100-89 loss against the Rockets. Kemba Walker led the scoring with 22 points while Al Jefferson added 20, but the rest of the team shot just 34 percent from the field which was never going to be enough against the Rockets who were led by James Harden's 31 points. With a 34-37 record, the Bobcats are 2 1/2 games behind the sixth-placed Wizards who they'll need to overtake if they want to avoid meeting the Pacers or the Heat in the first round.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 6-0 ATS in their last six games following a loss and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall, while the Bobcats are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a loss and 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 home games.
The Nets have clearly been the team in better form so I might be leaning towards them in this one, but I'll have to wait for the spread first.
The line is finally out and the Nets are actually the underdogs for this one so there's definitely some value with the visitors in this one.
