The Phoenix Suns take a trip to the Verizon Center to take on the Washington Wizards tonight.
The Wizards have lost five of their last eight games and are returning home from a disappointing 1-3 road trip which was capped by a narrow loss at Denver on Sunday. Bradley Beal led five players in double figures with 21 points while Trevor Ariza added 18, but the Wizards let themselves down by turning the ball over 24 times and getting outscored in the bench department by 52-28. Wall disappointed me the most by scoring just 15 points and committing eight turnovers after pouring in 28 points just a couple nights earlier. With the loss, Washington missed a big opportunity to climb up the standings and make some ground on Brooklyn who are only 1 1/2 games ahead of them in fifth place.

Over in the Western Conference, the Suns have won six of their last seven games and will be going for a fifth straight win after knocking down the Hawks by 102-95 on Monday. The Suns' three-point shooting ignited the Suns early in the game but it was Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic who carried the team later in the game with 20 and 19 points respectively. With the win, Phoenix was able to draw level with Dallas for the last playoff spot in the West.
In ATS trends, the Suns are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall, while the Wizards are 6-14-1 ATS in the last 21 home games and 2-7 ATS in the last nine games overall.
Head to head, the Suns are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in Washington.
The Suns have been red-hot lately and they just need this win more than the Wizards.
