The Los Angeles Clippers play host to the Dallas Mavericks at the Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night in NBA action.

The Dallas Mavericks have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting routed by the Thunder in a 120-109 road loss on Sunday. Christian Wood led the team with 27 points and 16 rebounds, Spencer Dinwiddie added 21 points with eight assists while Tim Hardaway Jr. chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 42 percent from the field and 14 of 39 from the 3-point line, but without Luka Doncic in the lineup, they never really had a chance after getting outscored by 36-21 in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have really been struggling lately as they’ve lost seven of their last nine games and they will be hoping to avoid a seventh straight defeat after falling just short to the Hawks in a 112-108 loss on Sunday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 29 points, seven rebounds and four assists, Ivica Zubac led the team with 17 points, 18 rebounds and three assists, while Marcus Morris chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Clippers shot just 38 percent from the field and 10 of 30 from the 3-point line as they held the Hawks to just 19 points in the third quarter to overcome a 17-point deficit to lead by 11 points in the fourth quarter, only to go cold and score just six points in the final 6:44 to end up just short in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Mavericks are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 road games, 18-5 ATS in their last 23 games following a loss of more than 10 points and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Clippers are 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings overall, the Mavericks are 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings overall and the Mavericks are 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Los Angeles.

The Mavericks are going to be shorthanded again as Josh Green and Dorian Finney-Smith are both out, while Luka Doncic is listed as questionable. The Clippers are also missing a couple players with Luke Kennard and Paul George both ruled out. The Mavericks have struggled to win without Doncic which is understandable given how much he carries the team on offense on most nights, but fortunately, they’re meeting the Clippers at the right time as the Clippers have been in a season-worst slump and they’re banged up themselves. You couldn’t back either side with much confidence in this one, but I’ll lean towards the Mavericks, assuming that Doncic is able to suit up here.
