The Memphis Grizzlies play host to the Denver Nuggets on NBA Friday.

The Nuggets have lost five of their last seven but were able to snap a four-game skid in fine fashion, by trouncing the Pelicans by 137-107. Kenneth Faried scored a career-high 34 points while Aaron Brooks made six threes for his 24 points as the Nuggets shot out to an early 40-26 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. As a team, the Nuggets shot 56.5 percent from the field, 15 of 27 from the three-point line and made 34 assists in easily their best offensive performance of the season. With the win, Denver improved to 33-42 on the season and 20-18 at home where they had lost their last two.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies have lost three of their last four and will be looking to bounce back from a 102-88 upset against the Timberwolves on Wednesday. Marc Gasol had 18 points while Courtney Lee added 14, but the rest of the team struggled mightily against the lottery-bound Wolves. The combination of Zach Randolph and Mike Conley combined for just 11 points on four for 23 shooting which is the main reason that the Grizzlies shot just 42 percent from the field. Memphis will be so disappointed with that loss because it now means that they have a tied record with both Dallas and Phoenix which puts major pressure on them for their last six games of the regular season.

In ATS trends, the Nuggets are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games overall and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a win, while the Grizzlies are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games but 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the Home team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings and the Under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall.

Given the fact that the Grizzlies need this win so much more than the Nuggets, I'll definitely be tipping them in this one as long as the line is reasonable.

The line is a couple points more than I thought it would be, but it's still Memphis in this one for me.
