NBA Player Updates 4/10: Pacers and Hawks Win, Tonight's TV Schedule and More
April 10, 2014
We’re coming off a heavy 12-game set in the NBA, but tonight will ease up quite a bit. There are just two matchups set for the coming hours, but more activity is coming soon as we race toward the playoffs. With that in mind, let’s take our daily look around the league and see what’s happening out there.
Jeff Teague, PG, Atlanta Hawks: After a 14-26 third quarter last night against the Celtics, things looked bleak for the Hawks. To their credit, they rallied back with a 35-20 effort over the final frame to take a 105-97 victory over Boston. Teague led the way for his team, dropping 19 points and eight assists.
The Hawks have a few tough games coming up. They’re in Brooklyn tomorrow, then host the Heat on Saturday. They’ll start out next week against Charlotte, then finish up Tuesday in Milwaukee.

Mike Conley, PF, Memphis Grizzlies: The Grizzlies overcame a first-half deficit to snag a win over the Heat last night, and the victory helped them remain in the playoff chase as we come down to the wire. Conley was the high-scorer for Memphis, posting 26 points and six assists in the 107-102 victory.
Four games left for Memphis: They’re home against Philadelphia tomorrow, then will open up next week on Sunday in L.A. (Lakers). They go to Phoenix Monday and host the Mavs on Wednesday.
Luis Scola, PF, Indiana Pacers: At this point, the Pacers will take offense from anywhere they can get it, and with the team resting their starters last night, Scola took center stage. He was the man for Indy against the Bucks, providing the team with 24 points and nine rebounds in the Pacers’ 104-102 win.
The victory sets up a big-time showdown for the top spot in the East tomorrow in Miami against the Heat. After that it’s back home for the Thunder on Sunday and a finale in Orlando Wednesday.
Joakim Noah, C, Chicago Bulls: Noah always seems to at least be flirting with a triple-double, and last night he got himself another one. He put up a great performance against Minnesota, logging 15 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in the 102-87 victory. That makes seven straight games with at least a double-double for Noah.
Okay, let’s check out the Bulls’ upcoming schedule. They’re home against the Pistons tomorrow, then head to New York for the Knicks on Sunday. Orlando comes to town Monday and the Bulls head to Charlotte to close it out Wednesday.
NBA Daily Schedule: Just four teams will be in action tonight, but both games should be pretty good. Here’s a look at the complete schedule, along with the start times and TV networks carrying each game.
