The Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers duke it out at the Crypto.com Arena on Friday night in NBA action.

The Denver Nuggets have been in red-hot form as they’ve lost 14 of their last 17 games overall and they will be gunning for a fifth straight victory after blowing past the Suns in a 126-97 home win on Wednesday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 21 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists, Bones Hyland added 21 points off the bench, Jamal Murray scored 16 points while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 56 percent from the field and 15 of 34 from the 3-point line as they got off to a flyer and never looked in danger after exploding for 70 points in the first half. A total of seven Nuggets players finished in double figures in scoring and all the starters were rested early in this one with no one playing more than 28 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers were on a six-game losing streak before they snapped out of it with a 113-101 win over the Mavericks on Tuesday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 33 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals, Norman Powell added 27 points off the bench while Marcus Morris and Terance Mann each scored 12 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 31 from the 3-point line as they put the clamps on the Mavericks early to build a 23-point lead, before they held off a second-half rally to earn the much-needed victory. Nicolas Batum had a night to forget as he scored just five points on one of eight shooting, while John Wall scored just five points on two of 11 shooting off the bench.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nuggets are 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games, 6-0 ATS in their last six games against a team with a winning record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Clippers are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following a win of more than 10 points and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.

Head to head, the under is 28-8-1 in the last 37 meetings in Los Angeles and the Nuggets are 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings in Los Angeles.

The Nuggets are still missing Jeff Green while Nikola Jokic is currently listed as day to day, while the Clippers will again be missing Paul George and Luke Kennard. The Nuggets have been on fire for a while now and they certainly looked good in their blowout win over the shorthanded Suns on Wednesday, while the Clippers were on a six-game skid before they took down the Mavericks in their last outing. A win here for the Clippers would do wonders for their confidence and I’m not surprised that they’re favorites given how good Kawhi Leonard looked on Tuesday, but the Nuggets have been the better, more consistent team and I think they get the job done here.
