The Line: Sacramento Kings +2 -- Over/Under: 207 See the Latest Odds
The Sacramento Kings end the regular season with a visit from the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.
Head to head, the Suns are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings and 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Sacramento. The Kings are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, but just 0-7 ATS in their last 7 vs. NBA Pacific and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win. The Suns on the other hand are 15-6 ATS in their last 21 road games, 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 36-15-1 ATS in their last 52 games playing on 1 days rest.
The Phoenix Suns may have been knocked out of playoff contention following their 97-91 loss against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night, but it's still been a hell of a season for this surprising young squad. Nobody gave this team at chance at the start of the season as experts were tipping this team to be the worst in the Western Conference, with an expected win total of just 20 games. Well, this resiliant young outfit led by first-year head coach Jeff Hornicek, could finish just two games shy of the 50 win platuea with a victory tonight, which is pretty remarkable when you think about it. What's more impressive, the Suns have been the best against the spread team in the entire NBA this season, covering the spread in 51 of their 81 games thus far.
We go from the suprise of the season to the Sacrmento Kings, who will again find themselves in the lottery with a pick between the range of 5-8. Sacramento has been so medicore for so long now, it just feels like they are destined to win 28-32 games for every season until the foreseable future.
While the Kings do indeed suck, they have defeated Phoenix in four of their last five meetings. All five of those meetings have been high scoring, with an average point total of 221 per contest. It's no surprise that the over is a perfect 5-0 over that span.
I think the Suns come out and end their season off with a win...
