USA TODAY Sports
The Chicago Bulls once had to overcome a season of adversity but once again they find themselves in the NBA Playoffs and enter this year as the number four seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls are 27-14 at home this season, 8-2 in their last 10 games, and 35-17 against the Eastern Conference this season. Chicago does it as a team but D.J. Augustin is the leading scorer averaging 14.9 points and 5.0 assists, Carlos Boozer is averaging 13.7 points and 8.3 rebounds, and Joakim Noah is averaging 12.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. As a team the Bulls are averaging 93.7 points and they are shooting 43.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 91.8 points and their opponents are shooting 43 percent. The Bulls lost two of the three meetings against the Wizards this season but beat them decisively in the most recent meeting.
Washington is 4-0 against the spread in their last four games, 21-10 against the spread in their last 31 road games, and 0-4 against the spread in their last four road games against a team with a winning home record. Chicago is 5-1 against the spread against the NBA Southeast, 14-4-1 against the spread following a loss, and 17-8-1 against the spread against the Eastern Conference. Washington has covered the point spread in six of their last eight meetings with Chicago.
The last meeting of these two didn’t produce much scoring as this one won’t either but the total is aggressively low, too aggressively, so my free pick is the Over. My stronger play is on who will cover the point spread and I will post that pick in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
