Lebron James and the Miami Heat host the Charlotte Bobcats in Game 2 on Wednesday night.
Head to head, the Bobcats are 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings and 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Miami while the favorite is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The Heat are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Conference Quarterfinals games, but just 13-28-2 ATS in their last 43 games following a ATS win and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Bobcats on the other hand are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss, but just 5-12 ATS in their last 17 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Conference Quarterfinals games.
The Miami Heat didn't look all that great in their 99-88 win over the Charlotte Bobcats in Game 1 on Sunday, but they still managed to get the job done. The Heat got off to a slow start against an improving Bobcats squad, trailing by four points at the end of the first term. However, they would turn things around in the second quarter and then used an 18-4 run in the final term to seal the victory. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade combined for 50 points for the home squad while Kemba Walker top scored for the Bobcats with 20 points.
The big news to come out of Sunday was the injury to Charlotte Center Al Jefferson, who had to leave the game after he felt something rip in his foot. Jefferson managed to come back on after taking pain killers, but he was seen in a walking boot the next day. Big Al is expected to take the court tonight, but he clearly won't be 100%.
I think the Bobcats could keep this one within single digits, but after hearing about Big Al in a walking boot, I have to take the defending champs. The Heat looked great once they got settled in Game 1 and expect more of that in this one. I think Charlotte could maybe take either Game 3 or 4 if Jefferson stays healthy, but I don't think they hang around tonight...
