The Pacers needed seven games to knock off the Atlanta Hawks but got the job done in impressive fashion. Paul George has really stepped his game up in the playoffs, shooting 45.8 percent from the field and scoring 24 or more points in four straight games. As a team, the Pacers averaged 92 points on 44.2 percent shooting and allowed 92.2 points on 37.4 percent shooting in the Hawks series. The Pacers are 7-2 SU in their last nine games when allowing less than 100 points. Roy Hibbert did show signs of life in game seven, scoring 13 points and grabbing seven rebounds. The Indiana Pacers are 42-46-1 ATS overall and 23-21-1 ATS at home.
The Wizards are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 3 or more days rest. The Pacers are 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games and 5-24 ATS in their last 29 games playing on 1 days rest. The Wizards are 3-9 ATS in the last 12 meetings in Indiana.
It's best to wait this game out to try and get a feel for how each team is going to play. However, for the sake of the article, I'm picking the Wizards to win this series and think they can steal game one due to the much needed rest. The Pacers just finished a seven game series and are being thrown right in another series against a very talented Wizards squad.
Give me Washington and the points.
