The series shifts to the nations capital as the Washington Wizards host the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 on Friday night.
Head to head, the Pacers are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings while the underdog is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The Wizards are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. loss and 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Pacers on the other hand are 8-22 ATS in their last 30 road games, 6-22 ATS in their last 28 games following a S.U. win and 14-36-1 ATS in their last 51 games overall.
Big Roy!!! After going without a point or rebound in their Game 1 loss, Roy Hibbert bounced back in a big way on Wednesday night, collecting a game-high 28 points to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 86-82 victory in Game 2. The timing couldn't have been better for the All-Star big man, who was on pace for one of the worst post seasons of all time after struggiling mightly against the Atlanta Hawks in Round 1. If he can continue on his play from Wednesday night where he also grabbed nine rebounds and blocked two shots, the Pacers might just move on to the Eastern Conference finals when it's all said and done.
While it's good to see Hibbert hitting some form, I still think the Wizards win this series in six, which would entail winning Games 3 and 4 most likely. I just think Washington is the better team and they are red hot against the spread lately. Get this, the Wizards have covered the spread in 10 of their last 11, while the Pacers have covered in just eight of their last 30 road games and six of their last 28 overall. I know playoffs is a different beast, but still.
It's going to be interesting to see is Big Roy can keep up his play from Game 2. Regardless, I think the Wizards will be too much tonight and I see them winning this by 6+
