The series shifts to the Barclays Center as the Brooklyn Nets host the Miami Heat in Game 3 tonight.
I really thought this series was going to go to six or even seven games, but if the Heat continue to play like they have in the first two games, this one could be another sweep. Paul Pierce and Joe Johnson scored just 13 points apiece while Deron Williams couldn't make a shot to save his life as the Nets fell to the Heat by 94-82 in Game 2. In fact, the only consistent scoring the Nets could muster came from Mirza Teletovic who made six threes on his way to 20 points, but on the bright side, it was definitely encouraging to see the Nets control the tempo of the game and play solid defense. The bad news is that they need to find some offense in a hurry because no team has ever recovered from a 0-3 deficit to win a playoff series in the NBA.

As for the Heat, LeBron James didn't exactly light it up, but still managed to lead the team in scoring with 22 points while Chris Bosh added 18. Dwyane Wade played more of a facilitator role and finished with 14 points and seven assists, but the game was basically at a stalemate for most of the game until Ray Allen caught fire and scored 13 points off the bench, including three treys. Looking back at the game in its entirety, the Heat really didn't play with much fluidity especially on offense, but like champions do, they manage to step up their game when it matters as evidenced by their 100-second possession late in the game which sealed the win for them.
In ATS trends, The Heat are 11-5 ATS in the last 16 meetings in Brooklyn, but the Home team is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings overall.
Just about every bone in my body is telling me to take the Heat who have clearly been the better team in the first two games, but I just get a feeling in my gut that the Nets are going to make this a series and bounce back with a win tonight.
