The Washington Wizards battle for their playoff lives tonight against the Indiana Pacers in Game 5.
Paul George exploded for a career playoff-high 39 points and made seven of 10 three-pointers as the Pacers rallied from a 19-point deficit to beat the Wizards by 95-92 in to take a demanding 3-1 series lead. It seems as though Roy Hibbert is officially over his disappearing act from Game 1, because he finished with 17 points after totalling 42 points in Games 2 and 3. As for the supporting cast, the Pacers's benched got outscored by their counterparts by 33-2 but it was simply a case of riding the hot hand of George who just couldn't miss.

As for the Wizards, Bradley Beal led the scoring with 20 points while Trevor Ariza added 16, but their offense just fell apart in the second half because they were getting the easy transition baskets they were feasting on in the first half. Players like Drew Gooden and Al Harrington were providing instant offense off the bench which was key to their early lead, but it's about time John Wall came to the party beacuse he scored just 12 points in Game 4 and is shooting just 31.3 percent from the field in this series.
In ATS trends, the Wizards are a healthy 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Indiana and 31-15 ATS in the last 46 meetings overall.
This is do or die for the Wizards so you know they're going to bring the intensity right from tip-off but I just don't think it's going to be enough against the Pacers in their own building. I hate to see the Wizards finish off their season with four straight losses but they've had a great season and they're heading in the right direction as a franchise.
