The Los Angeles Clippers hope to avoid elimination during a game six on Thursday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Thunder somehow won a bizarre game five that required a monster comeback and winning, 105-104. In the win, the Thunder shot 42.9 percent from the field and received a combined 65 points from Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. In this series, the Thunder are averaging 107.8 points on 47.9 percent shooting and allowing 108 points on 45.8 percent shooting. And although Kevin Durant has been amazing throughout the playoffs, he’s shooting only 32.1 percent from beyond the arc in the playoffs. The Thunder are getting only 23.8 points from their bench in this series, which is seven points below the league average. Reggie Jackson is averaging eight points in this playoff series. The Oklahoma City Thunder are 49-42-3 ATS overall and 23-22-1 ATS on the road.

The Clippers blew their chance to take control of the series despite turning the ball over 17 times and knocking down 12 threes. Chris Paul turned the ball over five times in the second half and DeAndre Jordan didn’t score a single point. Jordan has got to be more consistent in this series, as he’s averaging just 8.4 rebounds and consistently ends up in foul trouble. The Clippers are now 3-6 SU in the playoffs when allowing their opponent to score more than 100 points. Jamal Crawford continues to be that spark off the bench, as he’s scored no less than 18 points in three straight games. Meanwhile, Blake Griffin is averaging 24.2 points and Paul is shooting 51.2 percent from the field. The Clippers now return home where they average 111.4 points and allow 101 points. The Los Angeles Clippers are 50-43-1 ATS overall and 23-24 ATS at home.
The Thunder are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Clippers are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win. The Thunder are 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Los Angeles.
It's no secret the Clippers should have won game five with ease. And now that they're back home and facing elimination, you can expect an upset and focused team in front of their home crowd. I still like the Clips to win this series and it will start with a game six victory and a cover of the spread.
