TV:

The series shifts to the Chesapeake Arena where the Oklahoma City Thunder host the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3.

The Spurs had it pretty easy in Game 1 so we were all expecting much more of a battle in Game 2, but what we witnessed was an absolute trouncing. After a tightly contested 26-24 first quarter, the Spurs seemingly flipped a switch in the second quarter and outscored the Thunder by 88-51 the rest of the way, thanks to contributions from just about everyone. Tony Parker led the way with 22 points while Danny Green made seven three pointers on his way to 21 points, but with the game already won before the fourth quarter, coach Popovich was able to rest all his key players which is an absolute luxury at this time of season.

As for the Thunder, you just knew that they would need massive performances from Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant but those two could only muster 15 points apiece which is never going to be enough. The problem is, even if Durant and Westbrook combine for 70 points which isn't that far from their season averages, the Thunder still need around 30 or 35 points from the rest of the team and that's where the real issue is. Of course, defense is still going to be a major issue for the Thunder in the rest of the series but given that Serge Ibaka has upgraded his status to 'day-to-day', help just might be around the corner.

Looking at the ATS trends, the Spurs are only 3-10-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings overall and 0-7 ATS in the last seven meetings in Oklahoma City.

If the Thunder are going to win a game this series, it would be this one. However, it would take a prodigious effort from Durant and Westbrook for the Thunder to get back into the series and I just can't see that happening given what I've seen so far.
