The series shifts to South Beach where the Miami Heat will host the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 tonight.
LeBron James bounced back big time from his early departure in Game 1 with a massive performance of 35 points to lead the Heat to a 98-96 win in Game 2. Chris Bosh added 18 points including the go-ahead three pointer, while Rashard Lewis and Dwyane Wade added 14 points apiece, but this win was all about how unstoppable James was, especially at the start of the third quarter when he made his first six shots. With him on the court, the Heat outscored the Spurs by 11 points and shot 60.4 percent. In fact, with the win the Heat are now 15-1 in the postseason when James scores at least 30 points and 10 rebounds and they are a perfect 5-0 in playoff series after losing Game 1 since the Big Three era.

As for the Spurs, they were able to hit the ground running and build an early 11-point lead, but once the Heat turned the game into more of a grind, the Spurs didn't seem to move the ball around as freely and they started to play a bit more of the 1 on 1 stuff which never works against the Heat. Tony Parker led the scoring with 21 points and seven assists, Manu Ginobili added 19 points and Tim Duncan had 18, but no one else finished in double figures in what was a pretty uncharacteristic performance from the Spurs.
In ATS trends, the Home team is 4-1- ATS in the last five meetings overall and the Under is 13-5 in hte last 18 meetings in Miami.
The Heat were pretty unlucky to lose Game 1 but they still managed to achieve their mission by getting the split going back home. I know the Spurs will make the necessary adjustments and be stronger in Game 3, but I just get the feeling that the Heat will take a 2-1 series lead after this one.
