We’re three games into the 2014 NBA Finals, and the anticipation is running high. It won’t be too much longer before we’ve officially reached the off-season, so with that in mind let’s check out some of the notable situations from around the league, in addition to the latest on the championship series.

Kawhi Leonard, SF, San Antonio Spurs: We would say that the Spurs shooting last night was like a video game, but not even video games go this well. The team shot an NBA-Finals-record 75.8 percent from the field in the first half, stunning the American Airlines Arena crowd that had come to see the Heat try and take back control of the series.
Instead they saw the Spurs have their way, helped out greatly by Leonard’s 29 points (a career-high) in what was eventually a 111-92 victory.
Miami didn’t necessarily play badly--they were simply the victims of an epic shooting performance. If we could point to one thing that didn’t go their way, it’s that Chris Bosh failed to make much of an impact. He scored nine points on just four shots.
The two-time defending champs are facing an uphill battle once again, but this is not an unfamiliar situation for them. They’ve been in this exact same spot before, just last year in fact.
