The Line: See the Latest Odds
The Atlanta Dream have the best record in the Eastern Conference and Shoni Schimmel has the WNBA’s top-selling jersey. Yup, despite being fifth on the team in scoring, Schimmel has quickly become one of the more popular players with WNBA fans and you can find her jersey being worn just about anywhere.
Schimmel was a star player for the Louisville Cardinals and led them to the national championship in 2013. As a senior, Schimmel led the Cardinals with an average of 17.1 points per game and finished her decorated career second on the school’s all-time scoring list. She was the eighth overall pick in last year’s WNBA draft.

With the Dream, Schimmel plays just under 20 minutes per game and averages 7.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists. Schimmel’s best game so far was when she posted a double-double (17 points and 10 asssits) in a May win over the Indiana Fever. Schimmel has been a key player in the Dream’s success and was even voted as a starter in Saturday’s All Star Game.
Rookies having the top-selling jersey is nothing new for WNBA fans, as it’s actually the third time in four years this has happened. Brittney Griner of the Phoenix Mercury held the top spot last year and Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx had the top-selling jersey back in 2011.
WNBA rookies are also no strangers to this year’s list, as Kayla McBride, Bria Hartley and Stefanie Dolson are included in the Top 10.
