The Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever meet in game one of the WNBA playoffs Saturday at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Fever won the regular season series, 3-2.
The Chicago Sky made a tremendous comeback to eliminate the Atlanta Dream in three games in the first round of the playoffs. The Sky have been a completely different team with the return of Elena Delle Donne, who is averaging 25.7 points four rebounds in the playoffs. The Sky are also getting monster contributions from Sylvia Fowles, who is chipping in 13 points and 11.7 rebounds in the first three games of the playoffs. Overall, the Chicago Sky are averaging 76.6 points on 43.5 percent shooting and allowing 78.6 points on 42.3 percent shooting. However, those numbers have improved since Delle Donnehas returned from injury, and the Sky have won four of their last seven games overall.

The Indiana Fever swept the Washington Mystics and are playing some of their best basketball of the season right now. Tamika Catchings has taken her game to another level in the playoffs, averaging 24 points and 10.5 rebounds, while Briann January is averaging 14 points and 4.5 assists. The Indiana Fever have won five of their last six games and are playing with higher confidence than before. Overall, the Fever are averaging 74.4 points on 41.6 percent shooting and allowing 75.1 points on 44.2 percent shooting. At the age of 35 years old, Catchings and her teammates know that this may be her last real chance of making a strong run at a WNBA championship. Because of that, the Indiana Fever are going to be a tough out for anybody the rest of the way.
The Sky are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 vs. Eastern Conference and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 3 or more days rest. The Fever are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 9-2-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall. The Sky are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Indiana.
This is going to be a great series with two of the games top players battling one another. I see this series going the distance with the first two games going to the team at home. So, with that being the case, give me the Indiana Fever to cover the small number at home.
