Following Team USA’s group win this week, they’ll be getting back to action again tomorrow. In the meantime, there’s plenty to talk about as we look forward to the next stage, and there are also a few interesting happenings to visit stateside. That said, let’s take our daily look at the NBA headlines and check out the notable stories.

Team USA Latest: Even though it seemed a foregone conclusion, there were a few bumps and relative scares along the way as Team USA went undefeated in group play at the World Cup. Yesterday’s 95-71 victory over Ukraine cemented their dominance, and now the team will head off to Barcelona for the next round of the tournament.
Anthony Davis once again kept pace for the US, posting 12 points in a closer-than-normal victory over Ukraine. In an odd turn of events, the team took a while to get going, not posting a field goal for nearly five minutes after the game began.
A hard fall from guard Kyrie Irving put some fear in everyone’s guts, but he was able to get up and is expected to be okay.
The US team now goes on to face Mexico tomorrow night in the Round of 16.
