NBA Player Updates 9/21: News From Around the League, Off-Season Schedule and More
September 21, 2014
We’re getting closer and closer to the start of the NBA season, and with each passing day we’re hearing more news about the upcoming campaign. With that in mind, let’s take our daily look around the league and see who’s making headlines out there. Here’s the latest.
Here’s some big news from yesterday’s feed. The Sacramento Kings agreed to terms with free-agent guard Ramon Sessions yesterday. He’ll be coming to town on a two-year deal worth $4.2 million.
The Kings will be using an exception on Sessions (bi-annual). He’s coming off a 12.3 PPG, 2.4 RPG season with both Charlotte and Milwaukee last season. He’s also played in Cleveland, L.A. (Lakers) and Minnesota during his NBA tenure.

Andray Blatche, who is a free agent center, will be heading overseas to play ball this year. He inked a one-year contract worth nearly $2.5 million with the Chinese team Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers.
Blatche will be able to get back on an NBA roster in March, provided he’s healthy and the interest is there.
Eric Bledsoe Latest: This weekend, we got some big news out of Minnesota. The T-Wolves have reportedly offered Eric Bledsoe a max contract worth $63 million over four years.
The thinking here is that this offer will cause the Phoenix Suns to come to the table in sign-and-trade discussions. If they don’t take the bait, however, Minnesota will have to make some salary cuts since they don’t have the cap space to fit Bledsoe in as of right now.
Even without Bledsoe, the Timberwolves are going to be looking very different this year with ex-Cavaliers Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and Thaddeus Young on their roster.
