Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls make their preseason debut on Monday night as they host John Wall and the Washington Wizards.
Derrick Rose is finally back and ready to lead the Chicago Bulls into the new NBA season, where expectations will be high for this reloaded Chicago Bulls squad. After spending the last two years watching from sidelines, Rose and the city of Chicago are ready for a fresh start, one that sees the Bulls contending for an NBA championship. While Rose didn’t shoot it particularly well during the FIBA World Championship, no one is too concerned because we saw some of the explosiveness that we were all accustomed to seeing before those two crippling injuries. Rose won’t have to go at it alone either as Chicago added some key pieces this offseason, none bigger than former LA Laker in Pau Gasol. Chicago also added a pair of rookie forwards in Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic, who will help mostly on the offensive end.

Washington on the other hand looks to build on their 2013-14 campaign, one that saw them win their first playoff series since the 2004-05 season. It’s been a long time coming for Wizards fans, but things finally look to be on the up-swing for this young talented squad, led by the backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal. Washington did lost their starting small forward in Trevor Ariza, who chose to sign a long-term deal in Houston. However, it didn’t take the Wiz long to find his replacement as they signed veteran Paul Pierce to a two-year deal. With Peirce in the fold and one of the best starting lineups in all of basketball, Washington hopes to take that next step in what looks to be a wide open Eastern Conference.
You wouldn't expect Rose to play a whole lot tonight, but I think the Bulls will be excited to get their season under way with a win at home and I think they come out with the cover, but just...
