The New Orleans Pelicans square off against the Washington Wizards from Jacksonville on Wednesday night.
The New Orleans Pelicans have had a busy start to preseason action as tonight’s game against the visiting Washington Wizards will be their third game already, with some teams yet to play a single game. The Pellies have split their two contests thus far against Miami and Atlanta, with their starters playing limited minutes in both. On the plus side, Ryan Anderson has looked good in his return from injury, scoring in double figures in both games while shooting a combined 7-14 from beyond the arc. Jimmer Fredette has also looked lively, leading the team in scoring with a game-high 17 points in their opening win in South Beach.

The Washington Wizards also opened preseason play with a victory, taking care of the Chicago Bulls 85-81 on Monday night away from home. Unlike New Orleans, the Wizards played their starters extended minutes with John Wall, Bradley Beal and Marcin Gortat each playing over 26 minutes. While Wall and Beal struggled shooting, going a combined 5-19 from the field, it was second-year guard Glen Rice Jr. who led the way with a game-high 18 points on 6-8 shooting off the bench. Otto Porter also had a game to forget, hitting just one of his 10 field goal attempts in 28 minutes of action.
I'll be honest, I have no idea who is going to win this game. How much time will Anthony Davis get? What about John Wall and Bradley Beal? I'm going with New Orleans, simply because they are playing at home
Dan's Pick: New Orleans -2
