Sacramento Kings vs. Brooklyn Nets
NBA Basketball: Sunday
The Line: See the Latest Odds
The Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings will play a preseason game Sunday morning at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
This will be just the second preseason game for the Brooklyn Nets, as they beat up Tel Aviv on Tuesday. In the victory, the Nets shot 47.1 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from three. The Nets were also one of the few teams that turned the ball over less than 15 times, as the turnover rate for most teams so far has been through the roof. Brook Lopez in his first game back from injury led the way with 20 points, while Deron Williams chipped in 17 points and seven assists. Rookie Markel Brown took only one shot in 14 minutes, and I expect him to be a little more aggressive in this game considering he has some potential to do some things for an aged basketball squad. Look for Cory Jefferson to also get some minutes for the Nets, as he picked up just two in the first game.

The Sacramento Kings split their first two preseason games with the Toronto Raptors and probably are just happy to be playing a different team. In the Kings last game, they shot a ridiculous 55.2 percent from the field and received 19 points from DeMarcus Cousins in just 18 minutes. Omri Casspi, Jason Thompson, Darren Collison and Ben McLemore all had double-digit points off the bench, showing just some of the promise of this young Sacramento team. McLemore is 8-17 from the field in his first two games and is really turning some heads early in hopes of getting some quality minutes this year at shooting guard. Rookie Nik Stauskas has a combined 25 points in his first two games and is clearly going to be an offensive spark for the Kings this season.
The Sacramento Kings have too many offensive weapons and they've been on full display in their first couple of games. We're still trying to get a feel for the Nets squad under a new coach. Take the points.
