The Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers play a Sunday night preseason game at the Citizens Business Bank Arena.
The Golden State Warriors are 2-0 this preseason which includes a win over the Lakers. The Warriors have lit things up from the field, shooting above 48 percent in both games, including 56 percent in their win over the Lakers. The Warriors have made 18 threes and Klay Thompson is responsible for six of them. The Warriors have to be thrilled that Andrew Bogut is healthy again, as he’s picked up 13 rebounds and 14 points in the first two games, giving Golden State a much needed physical man in the paint. Harrison Barnes, who needs to step up big time in his third year, has double-digit points in both games as well. The Golden State Warriors are looking like one of the better teams in the preseason so far.

The Los Angeles Lakers are 1-1 in the preseason and can only hope they improve their defensive efforts this time around. One things the Lakers have to be pleased with is the progress of Kobe Bryant, who is coming off a 15-point performance and has eight overall assists. Rookie Julius Randle is also looking like he’s ready to play at the big boy level, as he’s dropped double-digit points in both games and has 15 rebounds. At point guard, the Lakers continue to monitor Steve Nash’s minutes, and he’s likely going to be held out of this game for rest. It’s a chance for a shaky Jeremy Lin to prove himself to the LA coaching staff. Meanwhile, newly acquired Carlos Boozer has 22 points this preseason and has been one of the more consistent players for Los Angeles.
While I don't love the chalk, the Warriors have been playing some of the best preseason basketball of any team. Look for that to continue.
