The Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers play a Friday night preseason game at the STAPLES Center.
The Utah Jazz improved to 4-0 in the preseason with a Thursday victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Jazz have had no problem putting the ball in the hoop, as they’ve shot above 50 percent in their last three games. Gordon Hayward led the Jazz in Thursday’s victory with 16 points, and he’s scored 51 points in all of the preseason games combined. Enes Kanter has grabbed a total of 32 rebounds and Trey Burke has dished 25 assists. Rookie Dante Exum is coming off his best game for the Jazz, as he scored 13 points on 3-6 shooting and had six assists. Steve Novak is 3-4 from downtown and rookie Rodney Hood has scored in the double figures in both games he’s played. While many have the Utah Jazz being lousy this season, they’ve been lights out in the preseason so far.

Along with the Miami Heat, the Los Angeles Clippers are the only teams left that have yet to win a preseason game. In three losses, Blake Griffin looks to be in regular season form by scoring 64 points and grabbing 19 rebounds. Chris Paul has 25 assists and J.J. Redick is a combined 11-22 in his last two games. Spencer Hawes is still getting adjusted to his new teammates, but he is still a solid 4-6 from downtown in his last two contests. One player who has provided Los Angeles with a solid spark off the bench has been backup point guard Jordan Farmar, who has scored 26 points this preseason. Overall, the Los Angeles Clippers haven’t played bad in the preseason and have actually avoided double-digit turnovers in their last two games.
The Jazz haven't given us areason to pick against them yet. Might as well take Utah and the points here.
