The Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves will play a Friday preseason game at the U.S. Cellular Center.
The Milwaukee Bucks have lost three straight preseason games and are 1-3 overall. The Bucks have had a real hard time putting the ball in the hoop lately, as they’ve shot under 40 percent from the field in two of their last three games. Jabari Parker continues to show Milwaukee fans that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel, as he’s racked up 40 points and 10 rebounds in his last three games. O.J. Mayo is also coming off his best preseason game where he shot 5-8 from the field and had five assists in 20 minutes. Brandon Knight has missed some time with a groin injury and will likely not participate in this matchup. One Milwaukee player who continues to impress is Ersan Ilyasova, who has 20 points and 18 rebounds in his last two games. Even in these losses, the Milwaukee Bucks are showing that the sky may not be falling after all.

This will be just the third preseason game for the Minnesota Timberwolves, as they’ve split their first two matchups. Andrew Wiggins has a combined 29 points and zero turnovers in 62 minutes. Thaddeus Young has also been impressive with a combined 24 points and seven assists with his new team. Mo Williams has had the most impressive individual game for Minnesota, as he dropped 18 points and seven assists in the Timberwolves most recent contest. Ricky Rubio has nine turnovers and is 4-12 from the field in the first two games. Rookie Zach LaVine is shooting 50 percent from three and has four assists. As long as some of these young guys can continue to make progress, the Minnesota Timberwolves have the potential to be better than expected.
Minnesota has had a lot more rest and should be up for this game with a bunch of youngsters eager to prove themselves. I'll take the T-Wolves and the chalk.
