The Line: See the Latest Odds
The Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics will play their final preseason game Wednesday at the TD Garden.
The Brooklyn Nets are 4-1 in preseason play and that one loss was to the Boston Celtics earlier this month. The Nets continue to try and find depth behind their very aging and veteran roster. Cory Jefferson has shown some promise at the power forward position in very limited playing time throughout the preseason. Alan Anderson has been a consistent spark off the bench and is coming off a 13-point 3-assist performance in his last game. While Jarrett Jack isn’t exactly a young player, he has done a fine job of sitting up his teammates and hitting the open shot, proving he was a solid pickup for the Nets. Mason Plumlee has a combined 44 points in his last three games. The Brooklyn Nets are an interesting team entering the regular season.
USA TODAY Sports
The Boston Celtics have won two games in a row and improve to 4-3 in the preseason. With no Rajon Rondo, the Celtics are looking for anybody and everybody to step up to the plate. Jared Sullinger has been one of those guys lately, as he has a combined 42 points and 27 rebounds in his last two games. After missing some of the beginning of camp, Jeff Green has dropped 32 points in his last two games. The concerns for the Celtics have to be with rookie point guard Marcus Smart, as he’s a combined 7-23 from the field in his last three games and has turned the ball over a lot. Smart will have to grow up quickly once the season starts if the Celtics are going to be OK until Rondo returns. The Boston Celtics have some major questions that need answers.
The Nets have played solid basketball throughout the preseason and it's hard to beat the same team twice. Give me the Brooklyn Nets and the points, please.
