Two of the Western Conference elite collide tonight as the Los Angeles Clippers visit the Golden State Warriors.
With the league's best backcourt in mid-season form, the Golden State Warriors are off to their best start in 20 years. On Sunday against the Trailblazers, Stephen Curry had a poor shooting night of 21 points on six of 18 shooting, but Klay Thompson made up for that with a game-high 29 points on 11 of 22 shooting, including the go-ahead basket with 8.9 seconds left in the game. The news just gets better for the Warriors as David Lee has yet to feature this season but is a chance to play tonight, which would shuffle Draymond Green back to the bench.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been playing nowhere near their best but still find themselves 3-1 on the season thanks to big contributions from the usual suspects. Chris Paul notched his first triple-double with the Clippers, scoring 13 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, while Blake Griffin dominated the paint with 31 points on 14 of 21 shooting. Jamal Crawford added a valuable 19 points off the bench as the Clippers fought off the pesky young Jazz to win by 107-101.
In ATS trends, the Clippers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Warriors are 5-0 ATS in their last five home games and 16-5 ATS in their last 21 against the Western Conference.
Head to head, the Clippers are just 1-4 ATS in hte last five meetings overall and 5-16 ATS in the last 21 meetings in Golden State.
I like the Warriors in this spot, and despite a rising line they are still the play.
