The Toronto Raptors will be hosting the Washington Wizards on Friday night at the Air Canada Centre.
The Toronto Raptors are off to a strong start this season, currently sitting at 4-1. The Raptors last outing resulted in a win, as Toronto defeated the Boston Celtics 110-107 on Wednesday in Boston. The Raptors have one of the better offenses in the league right now, and couple that with one of the better home court advantages in the NBA, the Raptors will be a tough out at home this season. Leading the Raptors this season is DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging 22 points per game this season, as well as leading the Raptors in steals.

The Washington Wizards, like the Raptors are off to a strong start this season, as the Wizards are 4-1. Washington had Thursday night off to Travel to Toronto, after earning a trough win over the Pacers on Wednesday, defeating Indiana 96-94 in overtime. John Wall had an impressive game against the Pacers on Wednesday night, finishing with 31 points and ten assists, while Gortat also finished the night with a double/double against Indiana.
The Raptors are 5-3 against the spread against the Wizards in their last eight meetings, and at home, the Raptors are 2-2 against the Wizards in their last four.
Tough call here, but I’m going to be on the Wizards. Washington has proven they can play in tough/time games, defeating the Pacers in overtime in their last outing, and if things get tight here, the Wizards won’t back down. The Raptors have the firepower on offense, but I like Washington’s defense right now, and getting two possessions with them looks like the way to go.
