November 11, 2014
We’re coming off a five-game set in the NBA, and we’ll have six more matchups headed our way this evening. While we’re getting settled and waiting on tip-off, let’s take a moment to check out some of the notable players out there who are making headlines this morning.
Knicks-Hawks: Two nights after beating the Knicks at home, the Hawks went on the road and did it again. Dennis Schroder was a big help down the stretch for Atlanta, posting 14 points (a career-high) including a pair of clutch baskets down the stretch. Paul Millsap led the way with 19 points and Kyle Korver added 17.
On the other side, Carmelo Anthony had 25 points, nine rebounds and seven assists but the Knicks continued their slide by dropping their fifth straight game 91-85.

Bulls-Pistons: Bulls fans were happy to see Derrick Rose back on the court, and even happier to see him playing well. He posted 24 points and seven assists in his return against the Pistons last night after missing four of the Bulls’ previous five games due to sprained ankles. Chicago would take the game 102-91.
Pau Gasol added to the cause with 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Joakim Noah posted a double-double himself on 13 points, 14 rebounds and six assists.
Cavaliers-Pelicans: This was a fun one to watch. LeBron James delivered a triple-double in a high-octane win over the Pelicans, as the Cavaliers prevailed 118-111. He posted 32 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in front of the home crowd, while Kevin Love got in on the action with 22 points on six 3-pointers. It was Cleveland’s first home game since October 30 when they lost to the Knicks.
On the other side, Anthony Davis kept up his torrid pace with 27 points and 14 rebounds while Ryan Anderson added 32 points of his own.
Pacers-Jazz: The Pacers are missing three starters due to injuries, so every night will be a tough game. Last night was no exception, but Indiana got a much-needed win 97-86 on the strength of Roy Hibbert’s season-high 29 points. A.J. Price (22 points) and LaVoy Allen (12 points) also had season-highs in scoring, with Allen grabbing 15 rebounds.
Gordon Hayward led Utah with 30 points while Enes Kanter posted 18 of his own.
