Two of the league's top offensive teams meet tonight when the Brooklyn Nets take on the Phoenix Suns.
The Brooklyn Nets have won three of their first four games and four of their last five overall to improve to 4-2 on the season. After blowing past the Knicks in a rivalry grudge match on Friday night, there was always the chance of a letdown performance on Sunday, but the Nets were able to beat the Magic by 104-96 thanks to points from an unlikely source. Bojan Bogdanovic led the way with a career-high 22 points on nine of 12 shooting, while Deron Williams added 18 points and Joe Johnson only 13. As a team, Brooklyn is fifth in the league in scoring with an average of 104.7 points per game, which isn't that surprising because they have five players average double figures in scoring with Johnson and Williams averaging almost 20 ppg.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns looked like they going to lose their fourth game in five outings on Sunday, but they were able to rally home late thanks Isaiah Thomas who once again delivered off the bench with 22 points and seven assists. Gerald Green and Goran Dragic added 19 points apiece as the Suns dominated the second half and outscored the Warriors by 60-37 including a ridiculous 36-16 in the fourth quarter. As impressive as the comeback win was, it comes with a little asterisk as the Warriors were without Klay Thompson who averages over 23 points for them.
In ATS trends, the Nets are 4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss and 16-7-1 ATS in their last 24 games against a team with a winning record, while the Suns are 4-1 ATS in their last five games after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games overall.
Head to head, the Nets are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall but just 4-9-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Phoenix.
The Nets currently own a five-game winning streak over the Suns but I actually think that little streak will come to an end tonight. With that being said, I still think the value bet for this game is with the Nets and the points because they've just been more consistent and more dependable on a nightly basis.
