The Cleveland Cavaliers will be hosting the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night.
The Cleveland Cavaliers are currently just above the .500 mark, as with many “super teams” it is taking awhile for this team to gel. The Cavs are playing good ball, especially on the offensive side of things, as the Cavs are scoring an average of 105.1 points per game this season, ranking Cleveland sixth in the league in points per game. The defense is not there however, and if you think back to LeBron’s championships in Miami, their defense was always outstanding. I expect the Cavs to play better as the season progresses, but right now there may be some value in picking your spots to fade these guys.

The Atlanta Hawks head to Cleveland on Saturday night with a record of 5-3, and coming off of a solid win on the road at Miami. The Hawks, like the Cavs are solid offensively, scoring an average of 102.9 per outing, but the defense just isn’t quite there. Atlanta has been playing very well as of late, winning four straight heading into this meeting with the Cavs. The Hawks can be a tough out, as Atlanta does not rely on one person offensively The Hawks are moving the ball around well, as evident by their leading scorer Milsap, who is scoring an average of just 16.9 points per game.
Tough call here. The Cavs are coming off of a big come from behind win last night, and with them being plastered all over ESPN because of that, you have to think this line is inflated a bit. That being the case, the Hawks were in a battle last night as well, and now have to travel up north from Miami after a tough game against a solid Heat team. Personally this game is a pass for me, but gun to my head I’ll take the Hawks, I just feel Atlanta matches up well with Cleveland and getting more than three possessions looks like the side.
