The Sacramento Kings play host to Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.
The Sacramento Kings had just lost three straight games on the road, but were able to snap out of that funk with a gutsy 94-91 win at home over the Spurs on Saturday. DeMarcus Cousins absolutely dominated the paint with 25 points in just 27 minutes, while Rudy Gay and Darren Collison added 18 and 19 points respectively as the Kings snapped a 11-game home losing streak to the Spurs dating back to 2007. As a team, the Kings were an abysmal zero for 12 from the three-point line, but were great on defense in holding the Spurs to just 42.5 percent shooting while committing just nine turnovers of their own. With the win, Sacramento improved to 6-4 on the season and 3-1 at home.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans were on a nice streak of four wins in five games, but were beaten by 102-93 last night at Portland. Anthony Davis was Anthony Davis once again, scoring 31 points on 14 of 20 shooting, while four other players finished in double figures in scoring, but the Pelicans just fell apart when the Trailblazers took over in a 34-13 fourth quarter. It was quite amazing how much the Portland crowded lifted the Blazers in the fourth quarter, because the Pelicans were up 16 at one point, but just had no answer for the Portland reserve players late in the game. With the loss, New Orleans drops to 5-4 overall and 1-3 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall and 7-2 ATS in their last nine against the Western Conference, while the Pelicans are 4-1 ATS in their last five games playing on the second night of back to back sets and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 6-18 ATS in the last 24 meetings overall and 4-16-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings in Sacramento.
Looking at the stats, the respective forms of both teams, the home court advantage and the bonus of an extra day's rest, I can't go past the Kings to win and cover at home in this one.
