The Denver Nuggets go for a sixth straight win tonight when they visit the Phoenix Suns.
The Denver Nuggets have been on a tear lately, winning six of their last seven and their last six straight after taking down the Bulls by 114-109 last night. Ty Lawson led the way with 20 points and 12 assists while Arron Afflalo added 19 points as the Nuggets shot 50.6 percent from the field against the Bulls who are known for their hard-nosed defense. With the win, Denver improved to 7-7 overall and 4-3 at home, but it's hard to get too excited about beating the Bulls because they were already without Joakim Noah and lost Derrick Rose early in the game.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns had won six of eight and were going for a fifth straight win on Monday until they ran into the in-form Raptors and lost by 104-100. Eric Bledsoe led the scoring with 25 points while Markieff Morris had 17 points, but it was actually the bench players Isaiah Thomas and Gerald Green who ignited the Suns and led them back from a 17-point deficit before a costly late turnover cost the team the game. With the loss, Phoenix drops to 9-6 overall and 5-3 on the road where won four straight before Monday's loss.
In ATS trends, the Nuggets are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 games playing on zero days rest, while the Suns are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 0-8 ATS in their last eight home games following a road trip of seven or more days.
Head to head, the Nuggets are just 4-11 ATS in the last 15 meetings in Phoenix and 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings overall.
Teams coming home from lengthy road trips have a tendancy to falter in their first game back, but I think the Suns will be eager to make up for their last outing and come out firing at home against a Nuggets team playing the second night of a back to back set.
