The Atlanta Hawks travel to the American Airlines Arena to battle the Miami Heat tonight.
The Atlanta Hawks started the season a little rough but are now on a strong run, winning five of their last six overall and coming off a tremendous 109-105 win against the Celtics where they came back from a 23-point deficit. Kyle Korver led the way with six threes en route to 24 points while Paul Millsap added 19 points and Al Horford added 16 as the Hawks bounced back from a horrid start to the game to post their best win of the young season. With the win, Atlanta improves to 10-6 overall and 8-2 at home.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been hot and cold all season and are coming off a disheartening 107-86 rout at the hands of the Wizards. Chris Bosh had 21 points while Dwyane Wade added 20, but the Heat were never really in this game as the Wizards built a 64-49 lead heading into halftime and never slowed down. The Heat just had no answer for John Wall or Marcin Gortat, then Rasual came off the bench and poured in a season-high 23 points just to make things worse. Miami haven't quite been as good defensively as they were the last few seasons and this loss wasn't any different.
In ATS trends, the Hawks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following an ATS loss and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 after scoring 100 or more in their previous game, while the Heat are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 against a team with a winning record and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five home games.
Head to head, the Hawks are a perfect 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall but just 8-20 ATS in the last 28 meetings in Miami.
Even with the Hawks playing the second night of a back to back, I can't back this Heat team with too much confidence until they start beating decent teams. The Heat are really long overdue for a double digit win over a team like the Hawks, but I just have a feeling that the Hawks will keep this one close and maybe even win this one.
