The New Orleans Pelicans face the uneviable task of beating the Golden State Warriors in their own building tonight.
The New Orleans Pelicans have won just two of their last six games overall, but are coming off a very spirited 112-104 win over the Thunder who had both Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in the lineup. Anthony Davis had a stat line only he can produce, scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, six steals and four blocks, while Tyreke Evans scored a game-high 30 points as the Pelicans dominated in the first half before holding off a late rally in the second. Despite the win, New Orleans is still only 8-8 on the season, but this was a win they had to have after losing three straight overall.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have been absolute guns all season and are coming into this game off a 10th straight win after sneaking past the Magic by 98-97 in a thriller. Klay Thompson had his usual production of 20 points and five assists with four three pointers, while Stephen Curry led the way with 22 points and the game-winning three pointer to send the Warriors to an amazing win after being down by nine points early in the fourth quarter. With the win, Golden State improve to 15-2 on the season and 6-1 at home.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a win and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, while the Warriors are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 games following a win and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games overall.
Head to head, the Pelicans are 7-20-2 ATS in the last 29 meetings but the Road team is 11-5-1 ATS in the last 17 meetings overall.
I would be pretty surprised if the Pelicans came into town and spoiled the Warriors' win streak, but surely you can't be giving them a start of eight points after they beat the Thunder with KD and Westbrook. I'm taking the road team in this one.
