The Houston Rockets and the Minnesota Timberwolves duke at the Target Center.
The Houston Rockets have won five of their last six games and are coming off their biggest win of the season, beating the Grizzlies by 105-96 on Wednesday. James Harden led the way with 21 points, while Jason Terry and Trevor Ariza added 16 points each, but it was a real team effort as the Rockets led by 94-68 after three quarters before easing off in the fourth. What makes this win all the more impressive was that the Rockets were able to take down one of the best front courts in the league without Dwight Howard and they did that by making all the hustle plays, grabbing offensive rebounds and forcing turnovers. With the win, Houston improved to 14-4 overall and 7-3 at home.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves are coming into this game fresh off their worst loss of the season, an 85-77 defeat to the previously winless 76ers. Thaddeus Young led the scoring with 16 points while Gorgui Dieng added season-highs of 15 points and 16 rebounds, but the Wolves just didn't play with the same level of desperation, allowing the Sixers to score 53 points in the second half after allowing just nine points in the second quarter. At the end of the day, the Wolves just didn't want the win nearly as much as the Sixers and it caused them to fall to 4-13 on the season and 2-6 at home.
In ATS trends, the Rockets are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record, while the Wolves are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a loss and 0-4 ATS in their last four home games.
Head to head, the Rockets are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall and 11-3 ATS in the last 14 meetings in Minnesota.
Plain and simple, I would be a massive letdown if the Rockets don't blow this Wolves team away after dominating one of the best teams in the league just a couple nights ago. I'm taking Houston to win this one by double digits for sure.
