The Line: Brooklyn Nets -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Miami Heat will be shorthanded tonight when they take on the Brooklyn Nets.
The Miami Heat have lost six of their last eight games overall and were blown off the court in their first without the injured Chris Bosh. In Sunday's 93-75 loss to the Bulls, the Heat shot a season-low 35 percent from the field, including 4 for 22 from 3-point range. Luol Deng and Dwyane Wade led hte team with 17 points apiece but this game was over after the Bulls dominated the third quarter 33-16. To make matters worse, Wade is now listed as questionable due to an illness, which would really cripple the Heat who are already without, Josh McRoberts, Chris Bosh and Justin Hamilton.

Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets have bounced back from a trio of loss with a couple of blowout wins on the trot. After stomping the Sixers by 88-70 on Friday, the Nets showed no signs of slowing down on Saturday in a 114-87 rout of the Hornets. Joe Johnson led the way with 22 points while Deron Williams added 18, but the points were coming from all over the place as the Nets shot a season-high 58.3 percent from the field, including an incredible 16 of 23 from the 3-point line. With the win, Brooklyn improves to 10-12 overall and 5-6 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Heat are 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing home record and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall, while the Nets are 5-0 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 2-6 ATS in their last eight home games.
Head to head, the Heat are 13-6 ATS in the last 19 meetings in Brooklyn and the Over is 20-7-1 in the last 28 meetings.
The bookies have yet to release a line for this game because of the Wade's unconfirmed availability, but I can tell you now that I'm definitely leaning towards the Nets if the line is reasonable.
