The Line: Sacramento Kings -- Over/Under: See the Latest Odds
The Sacramento Kings will play host to the rising Oklahoma City Thunder tonight.
The Sacramento Kings started the season with guns blazing but have since lost eight of their last 10 which prompted Sacramento general manager Pete D'Alessandro to replace Michael Malone with Tyrone Corbin for the head coaching role. Of course, it would be unfair not to mention that DeMarcus Cousins has missed the last the last nine outings with viral meningitis, but apparently the reason for the coaching replacement was more to do with the offensive system rather than the team's record. Rumors were already swirling that a change was about to happen, but the hammer went down straight after the Kings lost by 95-90 to the terrible 5-19 Pistons on Friday. Rudy Gay scored 20 points while Carl Landry added 15, but the team shot just 35.5 percent from the field, including a shocking 1 of 10 from Darren Collison.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder have been making up for their slow start to the season, winning their last six straight including a 112-88 blowout of the Suns in their last outing. Russell Westbrook exploded for 28 points in just 27 minutes while Kevin Durant added 23 points in 24 minutes as the Thunder poured on 70 points in the first half before cruising in the second half. On the defensive end, the Thunder held the Suns to 34.3 percent shooting while outrebounding them by an amazing 63-40. With the win, OKC creep closer to .500 with a record of 11-13 overall and 7-5 at home.
In ATS trends, the Thunder are 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall but just 1-4-1 ATS in their last six road games, while the Kings are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall and 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games.
Head to head, the Home team is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings but the Thunder are 3-0-1 ATS in their last four meetings overall.
I'm tempted to take the Kings playing in front of their new coach, but I'm going to stick with the in-form Thunder over the shorthanded Kings in this one.
