The Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks play Saturday afternoon at Madison Square Garden.
The Phoenix Suns have lost six of their last seven games and are struggling defensively. On the season, the Suns are averaging 104.6 points on 45.4 percent shooting and are 104 points on 45.6 percent shooting. Goran Dragic is averaging 16.2 points and 4.2 assists while Eric Bledsoe is averaging 15.4 points and 5.8 rebounds. Isaiah Thomas is shooting 42.7 percent from the field and Markieff Morris is grabbing 6.4 rebounds per game. The Phoenix Suns are really stinking it up defensively, allowing 104.4 points on 38.9 percent shooting from deep in their last five games. While we know the Suns can score, they’ve lost seven of their last 10 games SU when allowing 100-plus points. If the Suns are going to be a darkhorse playoff team, they have to win games like this.

The New York Knicks have lost three of their last four and would be better off just tanking the rest. On the season, the Knicks are averaging 93.8 points on 45.2 percent shooting and are allowing 99.7 points on 45.4 percent shooting. Tim Hardaway Jr. is averaging 10.5 points on 39.7 percent shooting and Jose Calderon is averaging 8.5 points and 3.9 assists. Shane Larkin is shooting 41.1 percent from the field and Quincy Acy is grabbing 5.1 rebounds. The New York Knicks have scored less than 100 points in 10 of their last 12 games and are 3-11 SU at home this season. With the injuries on top of that, this has truly been a nightmare season for Knicks’ fans. Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony are questionable with injuries while J.R. Smith is doubtful.
The Suns are 34-16-1 ATS in their last 51 vs. NBA Atlantic and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Knicks are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference. The Suns are 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in New York and 5-0-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
While there's no spread out just yet with all of the Knicks injuries, I'm taking the Suns to win this thing by double digits. The Knicks are horrible and without a lot of their key guys, I find it impossible that they're going to keep up with the Suns offense. Phoenix in a blowout.
