The Indiana Pacers and Minnesota Timberwolves square off Sunday night at the Target Center.
The Indiana Pacers have lost 10 of their last 11 games and wrap up a three-game road trip. On the season, the Pacers are averaging 94.1 points on 42.5 percent shooting and are allowing 97.3 point on 44.9 percent shooting. Rodney Stuckey is averaging 13.2 points and 2.9 assists while David West is averaging 12.2 points and 6.5 rebounds. Roy Hibbert is grabbing 7.1 rebounds and Solomon Hill is shooting 39.2 percent from the field. The Indiana Pacers simply aren’t getting the job offensively this season, as they’ve scored less than 100 points in nine of their last 12 games and are coming off a loss Saturday to Denver in which they scored just 73 points. It’s nearly impossible to win in this league when shooting 42.3 percent from the field, which the Pacers are doing in their last five contests.
USA TODAY Sports
The Minnesota Timberwolves have lost four straight and are dealing with issues of their own. On the season, the Timberwolves are averaging 98.3 points on 42.5 percent shooting and are allowing 108.8 points on 49.6 percent shooting. Thaddeus Young is averaging 14.4 points and 4.5 rebounds while Shabazz Muhammad is averaging 12.9 points and 3.6 rebounds. Andrew Wiggins is shooting 38.9 percent from the field and Mo Williams is averaging 3.6 assists. The Minnesota Timberwolves offense is struggling due to injuries, as they’re shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from deep in their last five games. The Timberwolves are just a mess on both sides of the ball right now but have won three of their five games at home.
The Pacers are 7-16 ATS in their last 23 Sunday games and 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record. The Timberwolves are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games and 17-6-1 ATS in their last 24 vs. NBA Central. The Pacers are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Minnesota and the home team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings.
Both teams are an absolute mess and we're getting plus money against a team that's coming off a back-to-back. I don't like this game at all but the points seem to be the safest pick.
