The Golden State Warriors invade the STAPLES Center to take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.
The Los Angeles Lakers were full of promise after their three straight wins which included an overtime win over the Spurs, but they've since lost three straight and are coming off a 108-101 loss to the Kings. Nick Young had a nice outing of 26 points on 7 of 14 shooting, but the Lakers were once again too dependent on Kobe Bryant who shot a miserable 8 for 30 for his 25 points. As a team, the Lakers shot just 37.9 percent from the field compared to Kings who shot 48.1 percent and had four players finish with 19 points or higher. The Lakers desperately needed other players to step up and contribute some points, especially if Kobe doesn't suit up tonight after being held out of practice on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors have continued their fantastic season with another easy win, this time by 128-108 over the Kings last night. Klay Thompson led the way with 25 points while Stephen Curry took it easy with 12 points and 11 assists as the Warriors absolutely dominated right from tip-off, storming out to a 16-point lead after the first quarter and never looking back. In a real boost for the Warriors, David Lee returned to the court and had six points on 3 for 9 shooting and seven rebounds in just 16 minutes, receving a standing ovation as he entered the game late in the first quarter. With the dominant win, Golden State improves to 23-3 overall and 10-1 at home.
In ATS trends, the Warriors are 26-10 ATS in their last 36 games overall and 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games playing on zero days rest, while the Lakers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall but just 5-11-2 ATS in their last 18 home games.
Head to head, the Warriors are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall and 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings in Los Angeles.
The last time these two teams met, the Warriors won by 136-115 in an absolute laugher and while the Lakers have improved since then, I don't see the Warriors winning this game by less than 10 points tonight.
