The Golden State Warriors renew their rivalry with the Los Angeles Clippers on Christmas Day.
The Golden State Warriors have been absolutely tearing through teams all season, winning games in bunches, including a 16-game win streak that has propelled them to a league-leading 23-4 overall record. However, they won't be feeling too good about the STAPLES Center after they got ambushed by the Kobe-less Lakers in a 115-105 loss on Tuesday. Stephen Curry had a nice game of 22 points on 10 of 14 shooting while Klay Thompson added 18 points, but this game was long gone before the fourth quarter because the Warriors had already beaten the Lakers by more than 20 points twice this season, so they completely overlooked Tuesday's game and got absolutely burned.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have lost six of their last nine games and are looking at a third straight loss after falling to the Hawks by 107-104 on Tuesday. Blake Griffin had a massive game of 21 points, eight rebounds and a season-high 11 assists, Chris Paul added 19 points while DeAndre Jordan added 15 points and 22 rebounds, but the Clippers shot just 40.2 percent from the field in a ragged shooting night. The worst offender was Jamal Crawford who 18 points, but shot a measly 5 of 19 from the field but you can't point the finger solely at him. After all, the Clippers had the Hawks on the ropes when they were up by 13 points in the third quarter, but just couldn't put them away. With the loss, LA drops to 19-10 overall and a mediocre 8-7 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Warriors are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against a team over .600 and 27-11 ATS in their last 38 games overall, while the Clippers are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following a loss and 5-13 ATS in their last 18 home games.
Head to head, the Warriors are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings overall but just 2-5 ATS in the last seven meetings in Los Angeles.
I can't wait for this game. Even if this was the only game on the cards for Christmas Day, I would be one happy man. I was absolutely all locked in for the Warriors to take this game, but they don't have Andrew Bogut like they did the last time these teams met so I think they're going to have a tough time on the boards tonight. This game could go either way, but I'm leaning towards the Clippers at home in a close one.
