The New York Knicks host the Washington Wizards at Madison Square Garden on Christmas Day.

The Washington Wizards had strung together six straight wins and 10 wins from 11 outings before losing their last two straight. In Tuesday's 99-91 loss to the Bulls, John Wall had 18 points and nine assists while Bradley Beal added 15 points, but in a tight game it was actually Derrick Rose who scored six of the Bulls' last eight points to hold off the Wizards in the fourth quarter. It was great to see Wall and Rose go head to head, but all the Wizards care about these days is winning, so they're going to need more from Paul Pierce who has averaged just 12.6 points and 38.8 percent shooting in his three games since injuring his toe.

USA TODAY Sports

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks are just hoping to get a W for Christmas because they've lost five straight and 15 of their last 16 overall after losing to the Raptors by 118-108 on Sunday. Carmelo Anthony led the way with 28 points on 12 of 26 shooting, while Jason Smith added 16 points and Jose Calderon added 15 points and 10 assists, but once again the Knicks were slow out of the gates and were always playing from behind. To be fair, the Knicks' last five games have come against teams with winning records, so it's actually a minor moral victory that four of those losses have come by 10 points or less.

In ATS trends, the Wizards are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games against a team below .400 but 0-4 ATS in their last four road games, while the Knicks are a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last six games against an Eastern Conference opponent, but just 4-11 ATS in their last 15 home games.

Head to head, the Wizards are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall, but just 3-10 ATS in the last 13 meetings in New York.

I was really looking to take the Knicks at home on Christmas Day, but the bookies are only giving us five points which doesn't quite seem like enough for this game.
